Regina -- Practice Manager
Regina
started out as a receptionist for West Loop in 1993 and quickly moved
up to supervisor and then to Practice Manager. While interviewing for
the job at West Loop, she was interviewed by a manager as well as the
office cat, Tux. Tux quickly gave his approval of Regina, and they
bonded quickly. Tux became known as "Regina's cat" from that point
forward.
Now Practice Manager for West Loop Animal Hospital and Animal Clinic At
The Crossings, she manages both hospitals diligently. Our team finds
Regina to discuss issues in the hospital that need to be resolved. She
is there for us when we need her, and she is willing to step in and
take charge over any situation. Everyone likes Regina. It is just as
simple as that. Regina has a great personality, is very approachable,
and will listen to you when you need help. She never complains and is
always happy to fill in whenever needed.
Regina is very close to her family. She enjoys spending time with her
husband Steven, her daughter Emily and her newest addition to the
family, her baby daughter Gabrielle. She attends many of Emily's
extracurricular activities, and when Emily is out of school, Regina is
there to spend the day with her. She takes every opportunity she has to
spend with her family and friends.
She also has a house full of critters. To name a few, 3 dogs, and 3
cats. All of Regina's pets have been rescued. She has a tearjerker
story for each one of them. Regina obviously has a love for animals,
and her compassion and huge heart is vulnerable to dogs and cats that
need homes. She is truly an inspiration. Regina is more than just our
Practice Manager; she is a friend and confidante to us all.

Rocky
Office Manager, West Loop Animal Hospital
Personal Quote: "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." ~ Walt Disney
Rocky joined our team in 2004 and brings with her years of experience
in computer technology and database management. While being a
stay-at-home mom to raise her children, Rocky was self-employed in
computer consulting and volunteered at various schools in addition to
substitute teaching. At White Oak Elementary and Intermediate campuses,
she volunteered for 11 years, and she served on various committees and
campus leadership teams. Her work at St. Theresa Catholic Church
included Youth Ministry, Religious Education Director, Pastoral Council
member and pre-school teacher for religious education. At St. Matthew
Catholic Church, Rocky's volunteer service included Youth Advisory
Board Co-chair and shared the responsibility with her husband, Glenn.
Rocky, along with her husband, also serve on the Board of Directors of
the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
After being involved with a local pet rescue group, it became apparent
to Rocky that she needed to learn more about the care of animals.
Having many family pets of her own, some with special needs, it was
important to Rocky to be able to provide the best environment for her
"babies". With an eagerness to learn and her love of animals, Rocky
took on the challenge that veterinary medicine presented. Rocky began
her journey at West Loop as a client consultant and veterinary
technician. She was later promoted to Office Manager, and is a member
of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. Rocky's multi-tasking
capabilities have proven to be an asset to the clinic. This
well-organized and detail-oriented woman is dependable and trustworthy.
Her favorite thing about working at the clinic is the special
relationships she has developed with clients and their pets.
In addition to the love of her family and pets, Rocky's other passion
is anything Disney! This is apparent by the décor in her home as
well as the Disney clothing and jewelry she often wears. Rocky and her
husband, Glenn, live in White Oak, and they have ten children: 3 human,
4 canine and 3 feline!

Christina, Registered Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technician Supervisor
Christina started working for Animal Clinic at the Crossings in May
2002 to do her summer co-op in order to finish her schooling program.
She was officially hired as a technician in August that same year.
Christina worked at Animal Clinic at the Crossings until February 2003
and then started working at West Loop Animal Hospital.
Christina graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology
from Cedar Valley College in May 2002. She then passed her state and
national board exams to become a Registered Veterinary Technician
(RVT). Cedar Valley is one of five schools in Texas that offers the Vet
Tech program, which is two years of schooling, including the summers,
and also the summer co-op afterwards.
In December 2000, Christina married her high school sweetheart, Josh.
They dated for 4-1/2 years and were married after a 3-month engagement.
Josh is an assistant manager at McAllister's Deli and loves his job.
Josh graduated from Kilgore College with an Associates Degree in
management. Josh and Christina like to do yard work and go fishing
together at ponds and at lakes in their small fishing boat. They attend
Kilgore Bible Church where they help run the sound system.
The most recent news is Josh and Christina just became new parents to a
new baby named Natalie. She was born Friday April 27, 2007 and is doing
great. Christina will be on maternity leave for a few months but will
be coming back part time.
Josh and Christina have 2 furry cats named Patches and Buster. Patches
is a Siamese mix who is a constant shadow to Christina. Patches loves
to play with her favorite toy that happens to be a black shoestring.
Her favorite game with the shoestring is fetch! Yes, she will bring it
back to you if you throw it for her. Buster is an orange tabby who is
talkative, likes to watch the birds at the feeder outside, and enjoys
sleeping in his recliner.
Both cats were strays that Christina adopted as kittens during the
summer of 2000. Also in the family are 7 goldfish that live in a small
pond outside. The fish know that when the fountain gets turned off that
it is feeding time!
Ranger is the latest addition to the Edinger pets. He was brought into
the clinic by a volunteer fireman who was helping someone who saw
Ranger get hit by a car. Long story short . . . the owner could not
afford a vet bill, so Christina and Josh took Ranger home. He is a very
smart and loving dog, he loves to do tricks- sit, shake, lay down,
speak, stay and roll over.
We know Christina to be a soft-spoken and kind person. Not only does
her gentleness make clients and their pets feel comforted, her positive
attitude is contagious to the rest of us. This highly-skilled
technician brings with her not only professionalism but a thorough
knowledge in her field. Christina is helpful, patient, and a role model
for us all.

Bill -- Pet Care Specialist Supervisor
Bill
came to our team in December 2005. A recent retiree from SBC
Corporation, Bill decided he wanted to pursue his second career and
became a pet care specialist. Though West Loop Animal Hospital is not
the first time he has worked in the Veterinary field we hope he will
continue to work with us for many years to come.
Since joining our team he has been a tremendous help to the doctors and
staff. Bill has been trained to help give the best care he can give to
all our patients, and he treats them as if they were his own. We also
enjoy having him around to be our "Mr. Fix it".
The thing Bill enjoys most about working at our hospital is our family style environment.
Bill enjoys spending time with his two sons. Bill also has two
four-legged baby girls, Pearl and Dixie. His mother was a High School
Biology teacher for 30 years and had a big influence on his drive to
pursue the veterinary field. When he is not caring for our patients or
fixing something for us, he is out camping, taking pictures, surfing
the internet, working in his shop, or playing on his four wheeler. |

incorporating then into her daily work life. And it seem the staff is
starting to grow on Melissa as well.
Melissa has a family full of girls including two older sisters and four
stepsisters. She lives in Longview with her mother and stepfather. In
her free time, Melissa enjoys playing on the internet (especially My
Space), singing, watching television, movies and shopping with friends
and sisters. She also has days where she just likes to go driving and
other days where she just wants to lay around and be lazy after a hard
day at work. Melissa has brought compassion and friendliness to our
clinic that we greatly appreciate.

April Stanley – Administrative Assistant
April
joined our team in March 2007. She applied to our clinic because she
had always heard great things about the West Loop Staff and Doctors and
she wanted to work with animals. The #1 thing April likes about West
Loop is “how much they want you to continue your education! I can
honestly say I learn something new every day, which is always a plus!
Also, our clients are the best clients in town. My first few weeks at
West Loop I had so many clients introducing themselves to me.” This is
April’s first job in a veterinary hospital and she wonders what took
her so long to work in one!
April grew up in Diana, Texas and graduated from New Diana High School with honors in 1999.
April lives with her partner Jeff. They have been together for 6 years.
They have 2 cats, Bonnie and Sway. Bonnie was the most beautiful white
kitten April had ever seen and she says she just had to have her! She
is a little diva. Sway is their special needs cat. She is very
talkative and walks like she has had a few too many! Hence, the name
Sway. Another pet is Meka – a lab mix. She is an entertaining, ADD dog!
Meka loves to lick you from head to toe.
In April’s free time, she loves to cook, read, and take Meka for walks.
She enjoys making brownies for the employees (we enjoy eating them
…All!) and any new recipes she may be trying out!
April has great spirit and is a wonderful receptionist. She works very
hard and we are glad to have her on the staff at West Loop Animal
Hospital.
